Thanks for your patience over the last month while I got this update out the way. Had to deal with some personal things and moved house. Back into my productive flow again so expect more updates soon! The roadmap voting feature is currently broken, but I have a long list of things I want to do.
- When using GPT4 you can now pass the full 8000 tokens in your prompts
- Made the background color darker for the empty view in dark mode
- Fixed an issue where custom system prompts would not get used
- Toggle between Native and Web mode with Cmd+1 and Cmd+2
- Added a button to test your API key on the General Settings page
- Add an option to default the web interface of ChatGPT to GPT-4 if you are a ChatGPT Plus subscriber (thanks Jerome).
- You can now change the font size in native mode
- You will only be able to select GPT-4 if your API key supports it
3.8
- Fixed an issue where the history wasn't properly cleared when clearing
- The copy conversation button is now only shown in native mode
- Improvements to conversation mode
- You can now stop the generation of answers while they're being generated
3.7
- Fixed an issue where the Pinyin autocomplete popup was not appearing in the menubar
3.6
- Made the OpenAI errors clearer so you should not get Swift.String 1 errors
- The audio quality will not become lower when using Global mode when you're not in a conversation
3.5
- Cleared up some error that people were getting when
- Fixed an issue where you could not easily clear your conversation from the menu view
- You can now change the system prompt that is used for the native features from the settings
3.4
- Conversation Mode! You can now choose to have a conversation with MacGPT when you open the Global input field. Enable conversation mode from Global settings and then click the microphone button when you open Global. This is still early so please send me feedback.
- Improved the streaming output speed by 50%
- Type "/clear" in native views and then hit return to empty the conversation
- Added a nicer screen for when a conversation is empty
- Multi line input, you can now type longer messages that span multiple lines
- Added proper padding at the bottom of code blocks in markdown
- The menubar window now animates in
- The main app window should pop up less if you have it disabled in settings
- Added a donate page to the settings

- You can now customise the color of your chat bubble. More customisation options coming soon.
- You can now resend or delete previous messages.
- You now have the option to let the Global responses be spoken out loud. The app will wait until the full answer is finished, so the experience is not great yet but it's good to get some feedback on!
- Choose what the max number of characters is that will be spoken out loud. This way it won't answer very long answers.
3.2
- When using Inline, the chat history will be reset whenever you change to a different app. I'm looking into different ways to handle this for the future.
- You can now choose which GPT Model is used for Inline. Note that using GPT-4 requires access to the GPT-4 API and that it will be considerably slower.
- GPT-4 requests should not time out anymore
- Added two more menubar icons to choose from
3.1
- Added a copy button to the Global response field
- Added a loading indicator to Global
- Added colors to the labels in the roadmap view
- You can now disable the markdown display in the native app. This is a temporary fix to allow selecting and copying the entire response text again.
3.0
This update introduces two major new features, Global and Inline, and a beautiful new app icon.
- Global: Access ChatGPT from anywhere on your Mac with the Global feature. Simply activate the Global textfield that pops up in the middle of your screen, and start chatting with ChatGPT. Just like Spotlight but with ChatGPT!
- Inline: Bring ChatGPT directly into your textfields with MacGPT Inline. Just type your trigger phrase and your prompt and ChatGPT will do the rest!
- Both Global and Inline will keep track of your history so you can ask follow up questions during the session
- New beautiful app and menubar icons. I will provide multiple options for the menubar icon soon.
- Design improvements here and there
2.3
- Improved Markdown support in the native GPT interface. Tables and other markdown will now be displayed in a nicer way.
- Code Syntax Highlighting
- Added a link to the roadmap from the About page in settings if you want to vote on which features you want me to add first!

- Cleaned up the settings a bit
- Added a roadmap where you can vote on what features you want to see me add next!
